This is a rebuild of an existing organ.
Identified by Thom Thomas, based on personal knowledge of the organ.
-- The organ was originally built in Edinburgh, Scotland most likely for Fingass Castle. It was moved to a church in Halkirk in the 1930s. The instrument was vandalized in the 1970s and most of the pipework was smashed. It was then shipped to the U.S. in 1996.
Thom Thomas purchased the organ at auction in Concord, N.H.and commissioned Jeremy Cooper to restore the chest and fabricate a new reservoir and missing action parts. The vandalized pipes were replaced with ones from 19th century New England organs.
