NOTES
Notes in the files of Balcom and Vaughan Pipe Organs, Inc. of Seattle provided
the following information which was recorded by that fir's former Tonal Director,
Eugene M. Nye: The contract was signed Saturday morning, May 13, 1957. The truck
containing the organ was unloaded at the church on Monday, February 10, 1958. The
shutter frames were up by February 18, and the console was set into position April
21, 1958. The first notes heard from the organ were on the Pedal 16' Gemshorn on
Tuesday, April 22, 1958. This information was compiled by Mr. Nye on two visits –
the first being April 11, 1958, and the second on February 2, 1962.
In 1993, a new II-manual, tracker action organ was contracted with the Bond Pipe
Organs firm in Portland, OR. Th Wicks was purchased by the Wicks representative
in Spokane, WA. - Philip A. Larson – and installed by him in his church in Spo-
kane: Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. The 4' Oboe from their existing organ was
retained and added to the Wicks making it III-manuals and 15-ranks.
