In the spring of 2016 it was announced the organ is for sale.
Updated through online information from David Jenkins. -- I am the Organist/Music Director of Most Precious Blood Church and have been since 1970. The organ was built by Carlton Michell in 1892. It was moved from Our Lady of Pompeii in the South End in 1956 by LaHaise and Sons. It remains in good condition at Most Precious Blood, which did not close in 2007.

Updated through on-line information from D. Kirkpatrick. -- The Archdiocese of Boston has closed this parish as a cost-savings measure and due to decreased area enrollment. The status of what will be done with the organ or its constituent parts is unknown as of April 13, 2007. A work crew is stripping the building of what ever parts can be removed.
The original builder was Carlton C. Mitchell (1892).
From Our Lady of Pompeii R. C., Washington Ave. (South End), Boston. Electrified and fitted with a new console and casework.
