Updated through on-line information from John M. Bullard. -- I was Professor of Religion and College Organist when Duke University offered this Holtkamp organ to Wofford College in 1996. I supervised its move to Spartanburg and engaged Greg Hand to adapt it to Wofford's needs in 1997. He enlarged it and revoiced it--superbly! The sound of this organ is distinctly the Holtkamp sound. A new Trumpet stop 16' & 8' was added and the 8' Principal. Chests are electro-pneumatic (Holtkamp) except for the Swell which is electric/slider (Quimby). Michael Proscia rebuilt the console in 2004, updated its mechanism, replaced the worn pedalboard, and refinished the console-case.
Updated through on-line information from Terry Eason.
