Updated through online information from Richard C Greene. -- The organ was originally installed in St. Peter's Norwegian Lutheran Church in 1898. When the congregation outgrew the building, they moved out and various other congregations used it. It was moved to the St. James Hotel and restored by Tom Erickson.
