Updated through online information from Scot Huntington. -- The construction date of 1873 is assigned on the opus list compiled by George Andrews' granddaughter Alice Julia Andrews ca. 1948 from then extant factory records in her possession.
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by Scot Huntington, using information found in unpublished manuscript of local organs.
-- The organ was removed in the early 1960s and replaced with an electronic imitation, with only the original façade and façade pipes remaining behind, mounted flush against the rebuilt front wall of the chancel area.
The interior pipes and mechanism were rebuilt and tonally revised ca. 1968 by Sidney Chase of Worcester, New York, for installation in the Chapel and Cultural Center at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
Cost, $1000. Moved to Renssalear Polytechic Institute.
