Jim Stettner on May 17th, 2026:

This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified through online information from T. Daniel Hancock [May 10, 2026]: Prior to the Barckhoff organ, the church (1846) was on the second floor level, with a temporary school located immediately underneath on the first floor. In 1867, a new school was constructed elsewhere, and the intervening floor was removed, and the church extended one bay toward the street with a new tower. The Barckhoff organ was installed in 1871 after the completion of the renovation and expansion, and was mostly destroyed in an interior fire of 1892. Following rebuilding of the church interior, William Schuelke incorporated some Barckhoff pipes in his new organ of 1893.
