From The Times Transcript (May 6, 1916): "The Canadian Pipe Organ Co. of [Ste] Hyacinthe, Que., have just completed the installment of a fine new organ in St. George's Church. The instrument, which is replete with every modern improvement, has two manuals , and of course independent pedal action besides ... The organ is blown by an electric motor and the case which is very handsome is made of fumed oak with gilt pipes. Outside the price obtained by the sale of the old organ, the cost of this beautiful organ is $3,000, a large portion of which has already been raised ... tomorrow the organ will be used for the first time."
