Central Christ Lutheran Church (originally called the New DownTown Christ Church) Stoughton, Wisconsin split from Christ Lutheran Church and relocated about 3/4 of a mile West and South of Christ Lutheran Church in 1914.
The Organ was 'donated' by the Tabitha Society of the Church (women's group)
The beautiful wooden altar carving was done by Mr. Verlinden of the Wangerin & Weickhardt Company (another soon-to-be-organbuilder) The Pulpit was also done by Wangerin & Weickhardt.
The Organ originally was placed in the balcony with the choir above the altar. In 1956 the organ was moved to the opposite South Axis now in it's own balcony. In the photo of this move you can see the Sunday School Chapel which was on the main floor behind the organ balcony and had moving sliding doors.
The Organ remained in pristine condition throughout it's life at Central Lutheran Church. Central Lutheran and Our Saviour's Lutheran merged in 1973 forming Covenant Lutheran Church.
The Central Lutheran Organ was advertised for sale and was sold to The House on The Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. They have no paper records of this transaction but the instrument was integrated into one of the many displays at the facility.
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church had a Two-Manual Mechanical Hinners that was sold to another Wisconsin Church
