Updated through email from Shirley Kuhn, Music Dir.: In the mid-1980’s, J. Allen Farmer, Inc., of Winston-Salem, NC re-leathered the bellows and refinished the case work and the façade pipes. In 2006 John moved the organ to his shop in Winston-Salem for a major refurbishment, including new chests and wind system, a rebuild of the pedalboard, and several additions. The instrument returned in 2008 for a re-dedication on September 21. The organ now has 13 stops/12 ranks and 607 pipes. In 2019, a Zimbelstern was added.
This entry represents the rebuilding with tonal modifications of an existing organ.
