From The Expositor (Brantford, September 14, 1895): "... It was erected by Spencer, of Hamilton, at a cost of $800, and occupies the northwest corner of the church. The case is of ash, eleven feet wide, six feet deep, and eighteen feet high, neatly panelled with bold projection in front, on which stand pipes of the open dia-bass, which are handsomely decorated in perfect harmony with the rest of the church. The metal pipes are of spotted metal, the manuals are wooden, neatly varnished, and the pedal pipes are finished with oil paint. The instrument contains 409 pipes. Miss Carrie Porter, who has admirably filled the position of organist to Calvary Church for some years, will continue to act in the same capacity."
