The building was damaged in a fire in 1968, following which it was taken over by the Volunteers of America. The organ was rescued by Elmira resident Michael Sussick and set up in his home.
This organ is also known from the William King work list compiled by King researcher Dr. Donald R.M. Patterson, and published in The Tracker XVI:4:1971.
