A lengthy article concerning the organ appeared in the Cotoctin Clarion 11/10/1892 pg3
Sveral short notices had appeared previously noting the church's plans to buy a pipe organ.
Some key items mentioned-

  • keyboards placed at end of case, rather than front
  • case of Walnut
  • inner area of keydesk of Mahogony
  • case design = Romanesque
  • octagonal pedastal on either side of center panel of case, which are surmounted by large pipes
  • pipes arranged symetrically and painted in soft colors & tinted bronzes
  • dimentions = 15 tall, 12 wide, 7 deep
  • overhanging keys, covered in ivory, ebony sharps, oblique knobs
  • Ross water motor to feeders
  • windchests of ample dimensions, built of white pine veneered with mahogony
  • valves made of the best light stock, covered with thick felt, then alum tanned leather
  • wind trunks rectangular and of large capacity, and all joints cut to octagon mitres
  • Wind trunks fitted with winkers
  • organ is placed behind the pulpit
