This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by John Speller, using information found in The Cypher, #35.
-- The building was demolished in 1887, and the new six-story building built on the same site in 1889 did not include an auditorium, so the organ presumably disappeared at this time. The Mercantile Library moved to the campus of the University of Missouri, Saint Louis, in 1998.
