Rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by T. Daniel Hancock, Posted to PIPORG-L by Larry Chace, 2012-10-24. -- Summary of changes from 1970's rebuilt, according to Larry Chace posting on PIPORG-L, 2012-10-24: Rebuilding began by David Peckham 2008, new console built by Stephen Russell of Vermont, and tonal and physical revisions in order to solve tuning problems (temperature control), failing blowers, and deteriorating console components. The 1970's Antiphonal division was revised to better support congregational singing. A new Z-tronics relay and combination action system was also installed in 2008. Finally, the exterior concrete masonry unit walls were covered with insulation and drywall. The work between 2008 and 2012 was comprised of tonal and mechanical changes which included the addition of 1914 Kimball wooden Violones to extend the Choir Violin Diapason, the enclosure of the 1970's Positiv division and conversion to a Choir division, and replacement of Swell strings. A pair of Aeolian Dolces from a nearby residence organ were added to the Antiphonal.
