Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- According to the 'History' section of the combined St.Joseph & St. Patrick Parish website, "1939 - Church is completed. The three Vanduzen bells from 1898 are installed in the tower of the new church where they ring to this day. The three-manual pipe organ built by George Kilgen & Sons of St. Louis, Missouri is installed and the church is dedicated by the Most Reverend Joseph C. Plagens on August 6." The "Pipe Organs" section of the parish website also states, "The original specification was representative of the American Classic style. At the time of its installation this was the largest organ in the Marquette diocese. Its original cost was $6,500; to replace it today would cost about $300,000." The organ was tonally altered and enlarged in 1964 and again in 2010.
