Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ contract was negotiated through Balcom and Vaughan of Seattle, the U.S. representatives of Gebrs. Vermeulen. The cost was approximately $30,000.00. The case, made of German oak, stands approximately 18 feet tall. Work on the organ was begun in May, 1970, and the installation was completed in August, 1971. Installation was accomplished by Frans Vermeulen assisted by three Balcom and Vaughan employees. The Hauptwerk 8' Prinzipal has its first 37 pipes en façade.
