Updated through on-line information from Thomas H. Cotner. -- The original 1902 organ was destroyed in the revolution; however, the casework and console were saved and used in the 1937 rebuild. The windchests and most of the pipe work were re-used in the 1985 renovation, with a new detached console built. The windchests were replaced in the 2004 upgrade, and a new Bourdon added to great.
Identified through on-line information from Jim Smiley. -- Merida is in Mexico's Yucatan. This Walcker organ was shipped to Merida from Germany. Alfredo Wolburg, a German living and working in Mexico City, come to Merida to install the organ. It was rebuilt in the 1980s by Jimmy Williams of New Orleans, Lousiana. The organ is currently maintained by Tom Cotner of Oklahoma and John Hendricksen of Massachusetts.
