Updated through online information from Rev. William C. Moser: This building is no longer owned by St. Michael and All Angels' Lutheran Church. The Schlicker portative is now housed in the choir loft of the Sanctuary at 1308 Spring Garden Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15212.
This Portativ was moved to the main campus at 1308 Spring Garden Avenue when the Spring Hill Chapel was sold in 2018.
Identified through on-line information from Rev. William C. Moser. -- Dartmouth University put this portative up for sale. It was purchased by St. Michael and All Angels' Lutheran Church for approx. $4,500. Another church member and I drove a van to Dartmouth, loaded the organ, and transported it to the workshop of Mr. Robert Fischer, a Schlicker representative and organ builder. There the pipes were reconditioned. Many pipes had been damaged by inexperienced cone tuners. Tuning slides had to be added to the mixture and 2' principal pipes. It was moved to the church Chapel on Rhine Street in nearby Spring Hill.
