Updated through online information from John Igoe. -- http://holyghostlcms.org/index.php?chsc=ch&op=organ indicates that 18 ranks from this instrument may have gone to Holy Ghost Lutheran, Niagara Falls, NY.
Updated through online information from Douglas W. Craw. -- The church at 4110 N. Bailey, Amherst, NY was sold in 2006 and the congregation moved to another much smaller facility as they could no longer afford to maintain the large church and pipe organ. The building was sold to the Town of Amherst and has been converted into a recreational facility. Due to the lack of demand for used pipe organs, the Wangerin organ was removed from the building and parceled out with pipe work going to 3 different churches around the country (I don't know the specific details).
Identified through online information from Douglas W. Craw. -- This instrument was moved by PoChedley & Assoc. to the new Sanctuary of Calvary Lutheran at 4110 N. Bailey Ave, Amherst, NY in 1959. A new two-manual console was provided by the Tellers Organ Co. and a 16' Violone added to the Pedal. Over the years numerous additions were made, primarily to "de-unify" the instrument & add upperwork, including a mixture on the Great & Swell Divisions (provided for in the 1959 console). Also, a 16' Trumpet was added to the Pedal. The instrument was extant in 2002 and included 32 stops controlling approx. 25 ranks.
