Updated through online information from R Frederick. -- Organ built in 1918 and installed February, 1919, by Austin Organ Company. Windchest and seven ranks added to great in 1976, by Dewey Layton of Florence, CO, (now deceased, no records), along with additional higher-pitched ranks. An 8' trumpet was added to the Great in 1981, contractor not noted. Main reservoir releathered in 1986 by Morel and Associates. To the best of my knowledge, the blower and motor are original. The organ action is aging and needs replacement. The console electrics are wearing and the keys need replacing; some ivory is missing from the front of some of the keys on the great manual. The reed ranks need regulation, which was recommended in 1986, but not considered essential to the upkeep of the instrument. Dust and grit were removed in February, 2011, from the pipes and chambers. The pipes had needed cleaning due to both a roof leak and subsequent repair. As a result, the pipes speak more clearly. The instrument was recently tuned (Mar 2011).
