Mark E. Wetzel, Waynesboro, Virginia. Active from about 1950 through 1970. Trained in Austria. Was brought to this country by his uncle Pete Wetzel, who worked for Klann, Inc. Extant instruments include Grace Evangelical Lutheran in Waynesboro VA and Central United Methodist Church in Staunton VA. Organ in Grace Episcopal, Cismont VA was rebuilt by Lewis & Hitchcock. Organ built for Christ Lutheran in Staunton in 1953 (based on pipework from an Adam Stein) was replaced by a Taylor and Boody about 10 years ago, but original organ was sent to a church in White Sulfur WV.
