Active in Detroit Michigan, 1899-1901, a merger of the Votey Organ Co. of Detroit and the The Aeolian Co. of New York City; succeeded by Aeolian Co. of Garland, New Jersey. After the separation, the Aeolian Co. relocated to Garland, New Jersey, Edwin Scott Votey moved to Boston, Massachusetts and started a partnership with George Hutching as the Hutchings-Votey Organ Company.
